Default 2nd annual Amnesia Open at Bonneville DGC Sunday June 19th.

Columbia Gorge Disc Golf is happy to bring you another fun filled competitive non sanctioned touney. Last years event was a blast and so will the 2011 Amnesia Open. We had 80 people compete at last years event and hope to have a few more this year. Tee pads will be in on all 18 holes along with some layout changes. Cost is 20 bucks and as always there will be plenty of beer and BBQ on hand for cheap. Working out the players pack and will post when its done. Last year thanks to Amnesia Brewing and the great disc golf community CGDG made enough money to install tee pads. This year we are shooting for tee signs and benches. I will post info as I get it. Please pm me if you are going to make it. Would love to get a ball park head count.

So far the players pack includes a Tshirt and an Amnesia pint glass. We wont be doing discs quite yet. Also there are tons of CTPs! Last year there were 2 per division per round. Again this is a non sanctioned event so beer drinking is allowed during play! Also would like to start an annual swap meet at this event. We all have plastic and other DG related stuff we dont use. Lets get together and save each other some money with a Buy, Swap, Trade sideshow at Bonneville. There will be plenty of tables and time. Event will be two rounds and in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge so you may just want to stay for a Dubs round later of just keep on enjoying to beer and BBQ. Am trying to create a layed back environment were some great golf is thrown down. Please come enjoy the day with us as is has always been a great event!

Lewis and Clark R.V. Park is half a mile from the course and also offers tent camping. All sites have water and electric. Cost is $20 per night for 4 people and $2.00 for additional persons. The place is never full and is in a very nice setting.

Default Know it all.

You're a great resource, Gawain. I don't get the connection to the bar in Portland, though?
Another new course in Washington for my bucket list.
Can't wait to play it.

Default Amnesia

The official connection to Amnesia Brewing is the fact that the owner happens to live in Stevenson WA. I have seen him in Walking Man before!

The reason Amnesia brewing is involved with disc golf in the Gorge is that the owners are F***ING awesome!!!!!! Walking Man our local brewery not even close. I also thought that since most of our golfers are from PDX it was a nice connection. I approached Walking Man a couple years ago and they wanted nothing to do with the course or disc golf. Kevin from Amnesia goes above and beyond supporting disc golf in the Columbia Gorge. Last year his beer alone generated over $500 for the tee pads you will be playing on. Amnesia is a huge friend to disc golf and I urge all golfer to frequent their brew pub as often as possible.
