I already asked. Both guys have to wear drag. And high heels. I think you should do it.

I could not find the flier, could you please help me out with a link? I would like to read it and add it to the calendar...

First timer, so lots of questions. How does one get donuted? What is the line of death? Turkey = 3 birdies in a row? Forbidden trees? How do the warp zones work? Should the bingo card say tough shot instead of worst shot, or do we take an extra putt to earn that one?

I'm guessing these will be covered in the player's meeting.
I'm not going to spoil the surprise if you are a first timer. I will say that turkey does mean 3 birdies in a row and the worst shot should probably say tough shot to minimize confusion. All the other gimmicks you need to ask your partner or wait for the fun on Sunday!

What is considered a matching outfit? Same T-shirt? Same hat?

Would it count if we both wore entirely the same colors?

Thanks everyone for another great year of donut putts and forbidden trees! Another year come and gone, hard to believe we've been doing this for seven years!

A few notable AFD firsts:

Hanging Basket was stolen Saturday night, so with a little luck you'll see a new portable basket hanging from the tree next year. Note to self: it will be taken down between days.

Mixed was offered both days and the unique winners shot a 144 and 145 respectively - nice shooting guys and gals!

A record 74 teams competed this year for the biggest AFD ever! Can we break 100 next year?

Thanks Dion and Nate for a great tourney! We had a fun time and everything was really well organized and the flow was really good....We shot awful but still had fun! Interesting that first place in intermediate is only four strokes behind first place in advanced......Is that normal?! Thanks again and see ya next year!

Thanks Casey!

intermediate being so close to advance is both not normal nor is it that uncommon. The winners of intermediate were encouraged to move up after the first round, but they declined. They put together a solid tourney and hopefully will be playing MA1 next AFD. Gotta hand it to them for shooting well!

What were people's favorite parts to the course? Least favorite? Now is your chance to have input regsrding next years layout!

I appreciated the better visibility of the bigger(?) warp zones. I still missed twice, which leads me to believe they should be even bigger to compensate for my lack of skill.

Always a great time, I think this is my fourth in a row. Just wish I wasn't a stone around my partner's neck - I blew it!

Thanks Nate, Dion, WDGC and everyone! Great day, great weather, great cardmates.

Thanks again for the awesome time! I love the new changes to Adair (props to the crew keeping this course fun ), but nothing beats the good times at the AFD layout. Sorry I couldn't stick around after my round I had to beat feat back to p-town for a family event. One of these years Long & Wrong will get back in that groove...but even playin poorly we had great fun playing with good peeps. Can't wait for year 8!

Default Thanks Nate and Dion

I had a great time. Thanks for trying to make the open division big by encouraging two day participation. That is a unique twist on things that seems to both work and keep with the AFD style.

Bingo was great. I am looking forward to new shenanigans next year.

It was our first year so I really liked all the signage on the tees.....I thought the line of death, warp zones, and window mandos were all fun....the mini basket was good for a laugh for sure, never thought to practice my mini putting! The parking lot holes with all the ob were frustrating on tough shot for us but fun on best shot (mainly due to a rough day for our team consistency wise).....The keg truck and pizza were awesome and the bingo was really a good idea that added to the event.....
Can't wait for next year, everyone should check out the afd8! Thanks for reply Dion, new to tourneys and wasn't sure what division was best for us, probably rec still, haha! Big ups to all the winners with those sick scores, way beyond my skill level! Maybe next year!

Second year in first I really hope they move up or are made to move up, they would have cashed in MA1. (have some pride)

Great tournament! I can't wait until next year

My partner and I played both days (got killed against the pro's) and had a great time, well worth the time to play against people that good

We had an awesome time playing AFD 2013! Bingo was a great idea and felt well balanced with challenges and required to get a bingo. I’m glad we wore our matching outfits. Despite a few extra teams, I never felt rushed or waited for a significant amount of time. Well run tournament Dion and Nate!

Others on our card were a bit confused about the mandos being a penalty or not due to nothing being on the sign, but I thought it was well explained in the player’s meeting (disc golf rule book penalty = penalty, AFD craziness = no penalty).

Pizza was good, overall layout was great, hanging basket (RIP Dion's) was fun, liked the donut and island green, hole 11 in par 4 is tough.

If any of the winners want to sell a disc with the AFD 2013 stamp, I’m buying. Any mold will do, as we’re looking for a wall hanger to commemorate our first tournament together.
