Default Looking for support and ideas for putting together a Disc Golf Club....

I have been doing my research and have taken note from many websites and clubs. I am looking for some things to look for when putting together a new club. We are also looking for people to come and support our new course and many more to come on beautiful Whidbey Island.

There's a course on Whidbey Island? Why isn't it posted on DGCR?

I can see a basket going on the ledge at Deception Pass. Extreme DG.

It is: http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=3327

We also have a forum for it... to which I've moved this thread.

Default NEW CLUB

Okay I never even saw this thread before so I thought I would update the details some...

There IS a club here on Whidbey Island (Oak Harbor) we are "officially" 45 strong and growing fast. We started the club only a month ago and have already made improvements to the course (such as bag holders and general park clean up). Future improvements are little flyer t-pads (only the second course, we know of, in the country to have them) as well as more course improvements.

We hold weekly Doubles on Sunday at Noon http://forum.whidbeyislanddiscgolf.com/viewforum.p...804e0dbf9663e9

We also have a handicap league Wednesday evenings at 530pm http://forum.whidbeyislanddiscgolf.com/viewforum.p...804e0dbf9663e9

We do bag tag scrambles every 2-4 weeks http://forum.whidbeyislanddiscgolf.com/viewforum.p...804e0dbf9663e9

We sell Innova disc on-site at the course for every event we do as well as we hold demo clinics for Adults and Juniors.

As you can tell we are doing our part to grow the sport here on "our island".

Everyone is welcome to come out and see how we are coming along... we have PLANS for the future of disc golf on Whidbey Island

Check out our forum for ALL the details... www.WhidbeyIslandDiscGolf.com/forum
