A road map to the park and a map of the course would be nice. I still don't know
where it is

I am not sure it is "open". The baskets were in... not sure if they stayed in. Some things need worked on before it is "open" to the public. A few greens still need manicured and a better, safer trail needs developed for the big down hill. Some long par 3s out there. Very fun and challenging. I think the official opening is March 1st. I will update this thread if I hear any more.

Is there an address to stick in my GPS, or do I just have to drive around listening for chains? Please post if you know the address, or what to ask the locals for.

How did the course opening go? Is this the only Cascade Locks thread or am I missing something? Also I can't find the facebook page, does anyone have a link?

Only thread I am aware. I did not make the opening, but it is open and they are having 5 dollar random dubs at 1pm today (St. Patty's Day). That's all I know. Happy St. Patty's Day folks.

Ask for one. But no one seems to be certain as to whether the course has actually been completed yet, or how to find it if it has.

Can we please have a course forum for Cascade Locks?

From Portland, take exit 44, go 1ml, take a left onto Forest ln, go 1.75ml, turn onto Cremblett ln, cross RR tracks and you are there. (Park in boulder lot not cul-de-sac)

From Hood River Take exit 47 toward Forest Ln/Herman Cr.
Turn left toward Frontage Rd. Turn right onto Frontage Rd. Slight right onto NW Forest Ln. Take the 1st right onto Industrial Park Way. Park in the boulder lined area, not in the cul-de-sac.

The course is open(has baskets and tees), still needs tee signs last I heard or saw.

How is the course? Easy to navigate from hole to hole? I only have 1 day off this week and want to make the most of it. Would those who have played the course recommend it.
Thanks, Jason

I would totally recommend it. There could be one or two spots where you may be confused about the tee. Some tees throw from the side walks or the cul-de-sac. They may have markers now... and with a little disc golf knowledge you should be able to play the course fairly easily. Some holes are blind, down hill and up hill holes come to mind. First hole starts on the side walk near parking lot. Have a good weekend.

I went out there today (which was a ridiculously bad idea, given the temperature and the winds), and just now made this half-assed map of the course as we played it, from memory and a GPS track. Can someone who knows the course see if it looks anywhere near correct?

The biggest question I have is that the ones we played as #17 and #18 are spray-painted on the asphalt as "#11" and "#12." I can't come up with a flow that makes those the 11th and 12th holes... did something change after those tee areas were marked?

Glad you could make it out. You have the flow a little wrong. You missed a hole between 5 and 6 or 6 and 7. Then after the big up hill (8 on your map) actually hole 9 you walk south towards the interstate instead of toward the tee you see right away. You actually walk by a bush guarded green(15) and then the next tee(10) will be on your left. Hole 11 runs from not far from green 10 to near the cul-de-sac. Hole 11 is hole 17 on your map, hole 12 is hole 18 on your map, hole 13,14,15 are holes 13,14,15 on your map. 16 is hole 10 on your map, hole 17 is hole 11 on your map, and hole 18 is hole 12 on your map.. signage will really help this place.
