The SSA for White River after last years WATDG rounds were 54.82 and 54.14. That makes the RP/ Stroke 10. I'm curious to see if the SSA holds true with the couple of changes to the course.

Chris,

During the off season, I've made a formula correction to the rating calculator that has effectively lowered a course SSA by about .5 of a throw, which relates to a drop of about 5 ratings points in a reported round ratings. After some beta testing, the TDG league ratings calculator is more accurate with the PDGA ratings calculator.

The SSA for White River will be below 55, which equals 10 ratings points per throw. Seems to me that 9 ratings points is to low. Unless the new course changes are significant.

I'm waiting for a call back from Tom B., depending on what he says about the course changes, we will probably go with 10 rp/ stroke. I was thinking that 9 was a little low too. As always, good work Sammy!

Now, if only, I could only predict the players' scores on my team. The match ups would be so much easier to determine for the WIN.

Go West Sound. Riverside is going down this Sunday

We will keep it at 10 RP/ Stroke. Even with "the 655' monster dogleg", the SSA should still be in the 50-54 range.

Looking forward to another nice day on the DGC!

Round ratings have been posted on the TDG website.

Looks like the afternoon round played easier after it warmed up and players could feel thier fingers again.
