Thanks everyone. I didn't bring this up with the intent of hanging this guy out to dry, so I won't be naming him, nor will I be holding it against him. I really just wanted to make sure everyone knew exactly why I felt what we were doing was FAIR and that we told everyone well ahead of time.
With all of that said, I really think we need to start teaching Chess in school. Clearly Checkers isn't working out for us, since we can't seem to think more than one step ahead these days.
